Midland Lutheran College

As an undergraduate, liberal arts college, Midland Lutheran College offers a variety of majors and pre-professional programs.  Majors such as nursing or youth and family ministry can prepare individuals for a specific vocation while other majors such as business administration or biology can offer a variety of career options.  Finally, the numerous pre-professional programs offered at Midland can prepare students for graduate studies.

Midland Graduates

As a liberal arts college, our academic program is divided into three areas, which are designed so that one-third of the graduation requirements fall into each of these three areas.  However, there is flexibility so personal needs can be met.  The three areas are as follows:

Institutional Core and Distribution Requirements

Institutional core and distribution requirements include: foreign language competency; mathematics, speech and writing proficiencies; Western heritage; and nine distribution areas — aesthetic sensitivity, American heritage, Christianity, contemporary issues, moral responsibility, personal well-being, scientific literacy, societal structures, and world community.
